About Salop Drain Services
Salop Drain Services Ltd works from Upton Magna, a village just east of Shrewsbury. It is a drainage company first, and septic tank work sits alongside blocked drains, drain lining and jetting.
When it empties a septic tank, its page says an engineer also looks over the tank, so you get a view on its condition as well as an empty one.

Who it suits
A good fit if you live around Shrewsbury and want the tank looked at, not just emptied. Because it also does root cutting, T-piece work and CCTV surveys, it suits tanks with a slow outlet or a suspected blockage where one firm can find and fix the cause.
Questions to ask before you book
- Will the engineer report on the tank's condition after emptying, and is that written down?
- Do you check and replace the inlet and outlet T-pieces on the same visit?
- Is the 24 hour line for drains only, or tank emergencies too?
- What size of tanker do you send, and how far can the hose reach?
