Information submitted
Listing applications collect business contacts, coverage and services. Contact requests collect a name, email and message. Tank-help requests collect the postcode, system details, problem description and a phone number or email.
Review and sharing
On the full server, submissions are stored in a private SQLite database for owner review. The standalone preview cannot save forms. A tank-help request requires permission to share the enquiry with one participating contractor selected after review. Delivery is manual and only to a contractor with agreed terms. The application does not send email or distribute requests automatically.
Sessions and action counts
An essential session cookie protects forms and owner access; it expires after eight hours. Optional action counts are disabled by default and exclude submitted contact details and postcode text. Telephone clicks do not prove that a call occurred. No advertising pixels or payment provider are connected.
Optional Google Analytics
On septiclocal.com, Google Analytics 4 loads only after you accept optional analytics cookies. It helps us understand page visits and use of the directory. Google receives usage and device information and may process it outside the UK. Analytics cookies can persist for up to two years. You can reject analytics or change your choice using Cookie settings in the footer. We remember your choice for six months. Downloadable previews and admin pages do not load Google Analytics. We do not deliberately send form details or URL query strings to Google Analytics. See Google’s privacy policy.
Retention
A purge command is included for ordinary submissions. Records linked to commercial assignments are excluded from that routine purge to preserve the audit trail. The operator must establish and implement appropriate retention and deletion arrangements for those records before launch.
Before public use
The responsible operator’s legal identity, contact details, purposes, lawful bases, recipients, retention periods and rights information must be completed for the actual hosting and operating arrangements. Production submissions remain gated in this build. Test data must be removed before launch.
