About Hydro Scot Drainage
Hydro Scot Drainage works across central Scotland with a 24 hour emergency line. It says it is SEPA registered, a licensed waste carrier and fully insured. After each job it provides a waste transfer note as proof that the waste was disposed of properly. Keep that note with your property papers, since a buyer's solicitor may ask for it.

Services and equipment
Hydro Scot empties septic tanks and cleans commercial grease traps. It also unblocks, jets and repairs drains, and carries out CCTV surveys. It uses vacuum tankers with long hoses, which helps where the tank is a long way from the road.
Where Hydro Scot Drainage works
It names Glasgow city centre, Perth, Edinburgh, Cumbernauld, Stirling and the surrounding areas. The website gives phone numbers but no street address.

Prices, call-outs and opening hours
No prices are published. Hydro Scot offers fixed-price quotes with no call-out fee, so ask for the fixed figure before the tanker leaves.
Who it suits
Hydro Scot suits owners who want a fixed price before the tanker arrives and paperwork they can keep. If you would rather never have to remember to book, J & M Murdoch offers a scheduled annual empty on contract.
Because no street address is published, take a note of the waste transfer note details after the visit, as that is your record of which licensed carrier took the waste and where it went.
Questions to ask before you book
- What is the fixed price for my tank?
- How long a hose do you carry?
- Will you send the waste transfer note by email?
